The Joy of Soy

Tuesday October 7, 2008
Soy milk is a very healthy alternative to regular cow's milk, both for straight drinking, or for adding just a splash in your tea or coffee. If you've never tried it, maybe you should give it a shot. My introduction to the health benefits of soy milk might convince you that your body deserves it. Besides, it sounds very trendy to order soy milk when you're out at the coffee shop.

I’ve never been a fan of soy milk myself but then again I’ve never tried it in my tea. Something I shall have to try and report back.

Be careful with soy–it is very heavy and some people have a hard time digesting it. At the same time it is the most highly pesticided product in the world–always get organic, no matter what. I find that almond or oat milk is actually just as rich and creamy in tea without the heaviness. It’s roughly the same price as well.
