What is a 'Self Drinker'?

The tea tasting term 'self drinker' is one you'll often hear when tea tasters talk about black teas. During my recent five months in India, I probably heard it an average of at least four times a week. But it's still a bit of a mystery to many a tea lover. End your confusion about self drinkers with this definition of self drinker. And if you have any questions or additions after you've read it, please post them in the comments below!

The term “drinker” sounds like a person to me, but what you meant is the term refers to “tea” itself. Am I right? I had never heard of it. And…come to think of it, Japanese call black tea “Kocha”, which literally means “red tea”. That’s interesting, too. Thank you for info.
