
Scones are one of my favorite foods to make over the holidays, in part because they are so versatile. A basic cream scone recipe can be modified to make a wide variety of types of scones, ranging from sweet to savory. I recently used a cream scone recipe as the basis for two new recipes: Orange Scones, spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves and flavored with organic orange peel, and Lavender Scones, made with lavender-infused heavy cream. I hope you enjoy these scones as much as my friends and I did over the holidays!
