What is Pause & Serve?

Pause & Serve is a common feature found in most drip coffee makers. There is a valve at the bottom of the brew basket which stops the flow of coffee when the carafe is removed. This allows you to remove the carafe and pour yourself a cup of coffee before the entire brew cycle is complete. Very handy when you want coffee right away and still have 10 cups left to brew.
