Dear Mother
Ron Baron, 2000
A large Grecian-style urn, sitting atop a broad column made from up-ended teacups.
Eye Ohr
Michael Lucero, 1993
The eyes painted on this pair of Turkish-looking teapots were very realistic. The curvature of the handles outline a pair of ears (Ohr is German for ear).
Female Roman Statue, Reclamation Series
Michael Lucero, 1996
One of my personal favourites of the exhibit. This statue is almost life-sized, of a Roman woman with an abstract orange teapot for a head. The teapot was decorated with butterflies, and their spots gave a vague impression of a face.
