Silver Needles are made of 'buds' (young leaves) that are covered with downy 'hairs.' The plant uses these hairs to protect the delicate buds as they grow.

All white tea is primarily made of minimally processed tea "buds" (young leaves that haven't unfurled yet).

Silver Needle has a very delicate, nuanced flavor that some associate with flowers, honey, cocoa and nuts. It is best brewed at a low temperature. Due to the varietal from which it is harvested, Silver Needle from Fujian, China is particularly low in caffeine and high in antioxidants.

Silver Needle is made entirely of the buds of a tea plant varietal that produces buds with lots of down (fine 'hairs'). It is plucked and air dried, with some drying over a charcoal fire, in an oven or in the sun. True Silver Needle tea is made in Fujian, China.
