by Sean Paajanen
for About.com

You can really taste the orange in these biscotti, with candied orange peel and orange zest. Most biscotti is chocolate or nutty, but you can also have a fruity one too.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup candied orange peel
  • shredded peel from 2 oranges
  • 1 tbs Grand Marnier

Preparation:

Beat together butter, sugar, baking powder, baking soda until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead dough until smooth. Shape into logs 2-3 inches wide, flatten slightly. Bake on a sheet at 375F for 20 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool for half an hour. Slice log into 1/2 inch thick slices. Put slices back into the oven at 325F and bake for another 8 minutes on each side.
