Masala Chai Granita Recipe - "Chai Tea" Granita

Thanks to masala chai tea concentrate, this chai granita recipe is incredibly easy to make.

This easy Masala Chai Granita recipe uses a masala chai (or "chai tea") concentrate, such as Rishi's Masala Chai Tea Concentrate, for instant chai flavor. It can be made up to two weeks in advance.

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time: 4 hours

Total Time: 4 hours, 2 minutes

Yield: Two to three servings

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Mix equal parts masala chai concentrate and water or milk (or use slightly more than is recommended for mixing masala chai on in the concentrate's instructions).
  2. Pour the mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe dish. Optional: Cover it with a lid or with plastic wrap.
  3. Place the container in the freezer.
  4. After about one hour, scrape a fork through the mixture. Repeat every 45 minutes until the mixture is fully frozen. Scrape it less often for a chunkier mixture (like Italian ice) or more often for a smoother mixture (like sorbet).
  5. Enjoy immediately, or cover the container and scrape the granita once more before serving. Use within two weeks.
