This green tea recipe has the health benefits and zingy flavor of ginger plus the refreshing citrus taste of lemon thanks to lemon-ginger simple syrup. Just make a batch of simple syrup in advance, and you can make hot or iced Lemon-Ginger Green Tea in about six minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon green tea, such as Houjicha, Sencha, or Kukicha

  • 1 cup simmering water

  • 2 teaspoons Lemon-Ginger Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup ice, if making iced tea, optional

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Steep the tea for 3 minutes.

  3. Strain and add Lemon-Ginger Simple Syrup.
