Not everyone wants or needs to be able to whip up an espresso or a cappuccino right at home. A basic drip/filter coffee maker is the foundation for home coffee brewing. For just a few cups at a time, these small drip coffee makers will serve you well.

To be fair, this isn't a drip coffee maker. But it does make only 1 or 2 cups, so I think it fits right here. The Senseo brews a cup of fresh coffee in just seconds. Pop in a pod, and you're ready to go. It uses a pressure system, much like an espresso machine.
2. Black & Decker Brew'n Go (1 cup)
The very essence of simplicity. Brew a single cup of coffee directly into your favorite mug. It has an auto-off feature and a permanent filter. Great if you're on the move, or maybe for your desk at work
3. Delonghi Drip Coffee Maker (4 cup)
The permanent washable filter is an environmental bonus, and this little coffee maker has all the standard features too.
4. Hamilton Beach Aroma Express (5 cup)
I cheated with this one, since it's a little bigger than the other coffee makers on the list. All the basic features, and an extra large reservoir for easy filling.
5. Zojirushi 4-Cup Zutto Coffee Maker
Zojirushi isn't a name you often hear in regards to coffee makers, but this little 5-cup drip machine is definitely worth mentioning. The water tank comes right out, for easier cleaning and there is a built-in water filter.
