Is sun tea safe to drink?

by Sean Paajanen
for About.com

Question: Is sun tea safe to drink?
Answer: There have been news stories about the bacterial dangers of brewing tea in the sun, but I have brewed tea in this way many times without any problems. Note that I am not a doctor, scientist or any sort of medical professional.

Make sure your container and utensils are well-cleaned, and refrigerate your tea as soon as it is brewed. Do your own research before deciding on the risks of sun tea.
