If you love being ahead of the curve with food trends, try this kombucha. It contains yumberry and camu camu juice, as well as goji berry juice.

There has been a lot of hype about superfruits (such as pomegranate, blueberries and goji berries). To a lesser extent, there has been a lot of hype about kombucha (a fermented, tea-based beverage with a loyal following). Synergy Superfruits Kombucha combines these two food trends into one moderately drinkable beverage. So, if you're wondering whether you should try it, my question to you is, "Do you believe the hype?"

A: Yes, I Believe the Hype.

You should definitely try this drink! It's a blend of 95 percent raw kombucha with organic yumberry, camu camu and goji berry juice.

Raw kombucha is thought to retain more nutrients and to have more of a physical, mental and perhaps even spiritual impact on the people who drink it. (Speaking purely from personal experience, I feel that kombucha provides uplifting physical and mental effects.)

Although goji berry is relatively mainstream, camu camu and yumberry are fairly hard to find in mainstream grocery stores. If you're looking for more exotic superfruits, Synergy Superfruits Kombucha does provide them in small doses.

The flavor of Synergy Superfruits Kombucha is very tart and exotic, with notes akin to raspberries, ripe mango and other tropical fruits. It isn't overly sweet and it has a funky, almost musky aftertaste. Given the strength of the tart kombucha flavor, I wouldn't recommend this to new kombucha drinkers or people who don't consider themselves to be somewhat adventurous eaters.

A: No, I Don't Believe the Hype.

You should probably steer clear of this kombucha. If you want to try kombucha just for the taste, check out Wonder Drink Cherry Cassis instead. It's pasteurized (not raw) and it isn't organic, but it does combine berries and kombucha in a way that appeals to a broader spectrum of people.

Have you ever had home made wine that had not finished the distilation proccess before? there is a sharp almost vinagar taste underlaying everything, an off taste that does not encourage another dilliancE with the curious drink. However the benefits which include probiotics cannot be ignored, and so i choke down a bottle to reap these benefits mysefl. how will i feel later? we wait and find out. I am currently fighting with the cranberry flavor.
