Kombucha Wonder Drink recently introduced three canned versions of their most popular bottled kombucha blends: Green Tea & Lemon, Traditional, Asian Pear & Ginger. Green Tea & Lemon is the same blend as Kombucha Wonder Drink's bottled Essence of Lemon. I would give the pricier bottled version only four stars. However, at about $1.50 a can, this canned version is a value kombucha worthy of 4.5 stars, a rating I've only awarded to one other kombucha to date: Kombucha Wonder Drink's Cherry Cassis.
Packaging & Ingredients
In terms of aesthetic, cans never really measure up to bottles. However, these narrow cans are appealing, as canned drinks go. The sophisticated color, font and logo all elevate the humble can beyond the land of PBR and cola.
Inside the packaging, there's a blend of green tea, pasteurized kombucha,* cane sugar and lemon extract. Each single-serving, 8.4-ounce can contains eight grams of sugar.
* Pasteurization nearly eliminates chances of contamination and lowers/stabilizes the alcohol content. In my experience, the pasteurization and/or blending also reduces the mind/body effects of kombucha.

Flavor & Pairings
The flavor of Green Tea & Lemon is similar to the Traditional blend, but lighter and more lemony. It's a bit like an "Arnold Palmer" (a blend of lemonade and iced tea) made with green tea instead of black tea. The green tea seems to be a fired (rather than steamed) tea, so it has a fairly mellow, sweet flavor. Although it's sweeter than more "serious" kombuchas, it doesn't taste as sweet as the Traditional blend.
I would suggest pairing Green Tea & Lemon with lighter sweets, like cakes without icing or delicately flavored cookies. It would also taste good with many types of fruit.

Overall Opinion
This popular flavor has definite mass appeal. I especially recommend it to:
- Lemon tisane drinkers
- Flavored green tea fans
- New kombucha drinkers
- Lemonade lovers
