So many of the features included in Zojirushi's Stainless Mug With Tea Strainer would have impressed me even of they weren't all combines into one product. A travel mug with a tea infuser? Useful. A tea infuser with a secret compartment for tealeaves or tea bags? Cool! A Thermos-style beverage container with an easily customizable appearance? Fantastic! Although I still prefer the similarly priced Eight Cranes Perfect Steeper for basic office brewing, Zojirushi's Stainless Mug With Tea Strainer is an incredible option for brewing tea away from home.
Heat Retention
Like Zojirushi's Tuff Slim Beverage Container, Zojirushi's Stainless Mug is good at retaining heat. Although the Tuff Slim wins out by a few hours, the Stainless Mug keeps boiling water very hot for four hours, hot for 12 hours and warm/tepid for up to 24 hours. Pretty impressive for a travel infuser!
Customizable Apparance
There is a removable/replaceable piece of paper inside the Stainless Mug that allow users to easily customize its appearance. The image in this review includes one of the pre-printed designs. You can also customize and print a range of designs from Zojirushi's website or draw/paint/print and cut your own designs to size. Very cool! It makes this a product that's perfectly suited to a range of ages and aesthetics.
Other Features
Like many travel tea infusers, the removable strainer locks into position when placed on top of the overturned lid. This way, the lid acts as a drip-catching tray for the strainer while you drink your tea.
The strainer itself is made with fine wire mesh (making it appropriate for straining smaller tea and tisane particles) and includes a wire handle (to make it easier to remove from the brew).
Perhaps the most convenient feature of this travel tea infuser is its lid. The lid has a secret compartment for storing tealeaves or tea bags. There's enough space for several servings of tea.

Overall Opinion
This is not an inexpensive infuser, but its unusual and useful features and its durability make it a fantastic choice for serious tea drinkers. I highly recommend it.
