There is both cream cheese and sour cream in this recipe. A dash of oregano adds an Italian flavour to compliment the tangy sour cream. You could make this recipe with cucumber instead of tomato if you prefer.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tbs oregano
2 ripe tomatoes, sliced thinly
Preparation:
Blend cream cheese, sour cream, and oregano. Spread on sliced bread (with crusts removed). Add a layer of tomato, and top with a second slice of bread. Cut into quarters.
