Basic butter cookies, but elegantly flavoured with dried lavender. Pair these cookies with a glass of lavender lemonade, and you'll have a very floral serving for a summer afternoon.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cup self-rising flour
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbs dried lavender
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350F. Cream together the butter and sugar. Add egg and lavender. Spoon mixture onto 2 greased baking sheets. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.Makes 30 lavender cookies
