A quick way to make preserves, with strawberries, oranges and pineapple. An extremely fruity spread that can be made overnight with the help of some jelly powder.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 medium sized orange
- 1 cup pineapple, finely chopped (with juice)
- 3 3/4 cup fruit sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 envelope of jelly powder, any flavour
- 1/2 tsp grated orange rind
Preparation:
Thaw the strawberries. Peel orange and remove seeds and membrane. Chop and finely crush strawberries and mix with orange Put 1 cup of this fruit mix into a large bowl along with the pineapple and fruit sugar. In a small saucepan, mix water and jelly powder. Boil for 1 minute. Pour this liquid over the fruit and stir for 3 minutes. Refrigerate for 24 hours, or until jam has set
