Your Masala Chai Tea Recipe

Chai tea (Dilmah Gentle Ceylon Spice), skimmed milk or organic soy milk, mix of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon & lemongrass spices, coconut flower sugar. organic walnut & fig. Cappuccino milk whipper.

Boil water, and pour into a cappuccino cup with the chai tea. Let it soak for 3-4 minutes. Put the milk into the milk whipper/creamer and make a nice whipped cappuccino style milk. Pour it into the cup. Mix in a dispenser all the spices together with the coconut sugar. Sprinkle it on top of the milk. Serve with a organic fig & walnut food pairing. Enjoy!

Your Inspiration

I was thinking about a new way of serving tea, and i am a fan of chai tea spices because of my travels through Asia. Then i was wondering how i could appreciate the tea more into a broad public and even men, I know in Holland coffee, and mainly espresso or cappuccino, are very popular ways of drinking coffee. So that's why I came up with a cappuccino style of tea, and as you always traditionally drink chai with milk, but normally latte style, I came up with the cappuccino style. Its a sensation on the mouth, as its creamy, soft and foamy on the lips and together with the warming spices, it really is a pleasure to drink!

Advice

  • check my video of the chai t'ccino on:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uw6iO9rtwg
  • instead of skimmed milk, use organic soy milk
  • you can pick your own favourite chai tea, as long as it has the spices like cardamom, ginger and cinnamon in it.
  • you can use organic brown sugar instead of the coconut flower sugar, but the coconut sugar is healthier and has a nice caramel taste, which suits the chai tea perfectly, just try it!
